Baladna, the Association for Arab Youth, has issued an informatory video this week in celebration of reaching a staggering involvement of over 10,000 direct individual beneficiaries from its projects with Palestinian youth inside the Green Line. Baladna and its staff were proud to announce this landmark achievement which comes in conclusion to its 2015/1016 academic cycle. This accomplishment, which comes on the 15th anniversary of Baladna's launch, is a promising start to a new year filled with innovative activities and projects.

Baladna is pleased to share its new report "Sectarian Recruitment: Israel's Policies for Conscripting the Youth of Arab Palestinian Citizens". This report provides a comprehensive historical overview of efforts by the Israeli State to recruit Arab Palestinian youth into the military, including the Druze community, Palestine's marginalized Bedouin communities and the Palestinian Christian citizens.
It outlines the risks this poses in terms of promoting intra-Palestinian sectarianism and weakening shared Palestinian identity.

Kayan Feminist Organization and Baladna Association for Arab Youth have conducted field work into the attitudes of Palestinian youth in Israel towards violence against women and the killing of women. The goal was to access concepts of violence and honor as perceived by Palestinian youth. The research was conducted by Dr. Suhad Daher-Nashef, Program Coordinator of Women’s Studies at Mada al-Carmel – Arab Center for Applied Social Research, and lecturer at Al-Qasemi and Oranim educational colleges.
